Nervous Patients

We’re here to help, not intimidate you!
The staff at the Swan Surgery are used to dealing with people who dislike going to the doctor’s and are trained to make you feel less anxious.

Reception and welcome
Our reception staff are not intimidating – you should expect the Swan Surgery receptionists to be friendly and treat you with respect. If you would prefer not to give your name to a person, you can always check in using the touch screen.

Medical staff
The medical staff will treat you with courtesy and understanding and will act professionally. When you are with a doctor or any other medical professional, only they can see and hear you.  

Your privacy
All NHS staff members are legally bound to respect your privacy. Your medical and personal information will be kept confidential and not disclosed to anyone outside the NHS without your consent.
